Stacey + Tom, Swarling Manor

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I FULLY APPRECIATE cute Disney elements in a wedding. Don't get me wrong, I'm really not about over the top, cinderella-style, in-your-face Disney weddings, but when Stacey and Tom told me their day was going to have a hint of Mary Poppins, vintage-esque daintiness to it, I was DOWN. This combined with the 2018 Pantone colour of the year (ultraviolet purple) as a colour scheme, lets just say I was excited.

Oh and to top it off, it was at the unbelievably beautiful Swarling Manor.

OH AND one of our favourite babes Danielle Smith was photographing it... WHERE DO I SIGN UP???

Stacey's dress was a gorgeously simple satin halter-neck number, so we decided to make her bouquet a little bit extra wispy and wild, and her amazing ruby hair complimented the colours perfectly (they actually colour matched the dahlias to a tee, which was not planned !)

For their reception flowers, they had created their own centrepieces made up of old-fashioned books to which we added jam jars of blooms to match the bridal flowers to amplify the old-English vintage feel. Each table name was an ode to Mary Poppins (which I very much appreciated). What you can't tell from the photos is that it was a sweltering hot day, and it got pretty toasty in that marquee PRETTY quick.. not that you can tell a both bride and groom look effortlessly cool in every pic.

And then, as if these 2 couldn't get any cooler, after the ceremony Stacey's lovely dad arranged for them to have a ride in the BIGGEST truck/lorry THING I've ever seen in my life (sorry if that is not the technical name for it...)

Oh and quickly, we've got to talk about their cake. For those that don't already know about Rebaker's Cakes, you need to get in the know because the woman is a genius at her craft! Their 5-tier rough-iced cake, had intermittent tiers decorated to look like the pages of a book. It wasn't until I got right in there to have a read, and it was actually the story of the original Mary Poppins books, printed onto rice paper - I was honestly awed by the attention to detail. Below is a close up of the topper, but have a click through the gallery at the bottom for the full effect.

So all that can be said to Stacey and Tom now is THANK YOU. Thank you for asking me to be a part of such a beautiful day and for such a lovely couple - it really was a pleasure!

And thank you to Danielle Smith Photo for the unreal photos that I get to share the life out of
